because in the Jeep, you can fold down the windshield!
I’ve tried almost EVERYTHING to get it clean, and NOTHING WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What cleaners and cloths are you using?
The trick is too keep turning the cloth over so your not just smearing the dirt around.
Fold a cloth in half and half again.
Spray cleaner on the cloth and wipe all the glass, turn over the cloth and repeat if the glass is heavily soiled. Open out one half and fold back on itself and wipe. Then with another cloth, buff.
I buff with a suede cloth as some micrfibres can leave fine fibres on the glass.

I HATE cleaning windows. But I’ve had the most luck following the procedure Svend already suggested.

They are good for getting right down the bottom of the window and for chasing that annoying smear, you can stand outside the car and clean the glass. Saves me getting in and out a couple of dozen times for that really filth windscreen.

someone on hear once mentioned that oftentimes, the smeary gunk you cant seem to get off is actually condensed armorall or whatever greasy “protectant” evaporated off the dash.
try more ammonia?

Windows are the bane of my life, especially windscreens.
The other part is cars that you can’t open and close the windows without having to turn the ignition on. Which is why I love Skoda, Seats, VWs, Vauxhalls, etc... just press and hold the unlock button on the keyfob and all windows open till you release the keyfob button.
Means I can clean the top edge of the windows without having to individually go round one at a time or leaving the keys in the ignition while I’m doing it.
